Ghroepani Jomsom Trek- Max elevation -3800.
The Ghorepani jomsom trek leads the way gradually from the sub tropical to the Tundra climatic zone, this trekking route is quite a beautiful for all trekkers, because of its different landscape, climatic conditions, culture and people. The trekkers can use one way system for this trekking route, either trek start from nayapul then trek up to Jomsom Muktinath via Ghorepani poon hill, then fly down to pokhara or fly into jomsom then trek up to Muktinath and trek all the way down to Ghorepani Nayapul.
<p> Drive from pokhara to Nayapul, then your trekking starts gradually along the Bhurungdi Khola (River) new Road recently built, take your lunch break in Ramghai village take rest may be you can swim in the clean pond if you are trekking in summer season because the River is very near to your hotel. Then you can walk just few hours, this day better to stop in the hotel early because you can get hurt by long way walking in the beginning day.</p>
<p>Your second day is Ghorepani , you have to cross 2 little suspension bridges in Tikhedhunga after 20 minutes walking from Hile, there after you will ascend slightly up hill to Ulleri village for 2 hours to cross this up hill, you can see south Annapurna from here also, may be better to take a tea break here for a while, after wards you need to walk another 1:30 hours to Banthanti village here you can take your Lunch, then walk all the way through the rain forest, mix of Rhododendron and conifer trees till Ghorepani.</p>
<p> You have to go poon hill early morning take a photo graph of panorama view from poon hill 3210,m then back to your hotel in Ghorepani, take breakfast then continue down to Shikha village, through the Rhododendron forest first an hour then through many different hamlets, today better to stop in shikha a big poon Magar village an overnight because of your long way walking including poon hill .</p>
<p>The trail goes gently down for first 3 hours, this day you will often follow the villages, there most of the houses are in red color, mix tradition between, Magar,Braman,kshetri etc quite a beautiful cultural tendency among them. Then eventually you have to go step down hill to the Kali gandaki River side, from there you follow the road 30 minutes to Tatopani (hot spring).</p>
<p> From this day you are following the Kaligandaki river after 10 minutes walking along the road from Tatopani you have to cross a suspension Bridge over the kaligandaki river to avoid the road and crowd of people. The trekking trail follow the sub tropical vegetation, This day better to stay in pairo thopla very small village just 40 minutes time before Ghasa.</p>
<p>You will reach in Ghasa in 40 minutes from pairo thopla, then rest a moment in Ghasa, then you start to walk along the road because of no substitute trekking trail here. But the place 1 hour before kalopani you may take a trekking trail through the beautiful conifer forest. Klaopani is very beautiful big village, so rest of your time you can do sightseeing in this village; this is a village, where you can see the Mt Annapurna 1 from.</p>
<p> Larjung is a very beautiful Thakali village with the Apple and walnut tree gardens, it has a wide visit able places. But You are entering the windy valley from this day. After your lunch, better to go to the Naurikot village 20 minutes time beyond the Larjung, it has beautiful view of Mt Dhaulagiri, sitting at the roof top of the Naurikot village resort. Or if you are fit enough for I hour climbing to beneath Mt, Dhaulagiri to see Guru sangbo cave, somehow it will be very good day for you to stay overnight in Larjung. </p>
<p> The way is very easy to Marpha but can be little boring because of the wind in the afternoon time, you will walk along the sand bar, till Tukuche then you need to cross a suspension bridge over the kaligandaki river then your walking will inside the pine and cider forest till Marpha, it is the village known as the Apple kingdom of this area so you may have apple cider, Brandy, apple crumble, dried apple, etc.</p>
<p>This day you are entering to more dried land areas,you need to walk along the road site till Jomsom ,It is the district head quarter town of Mustang district ,you may find ,internet, Bank and many more essentials .Then the way go along the kaligandaki River, you feel easy to walk, but can be too much windy, better to take lunch in Eklebhatti, there after you have to walk 40, minutes to Kagbeni.</p>
<p>It is very beautiful way that you get chance to walk in Tibetan plateau type of land, with the mountains views. And there are not many motors running only few motors run via this way than other site. Putak is beautiful mountain Village you can visit it on the way to Jhong, Then you can continue to Jhong village and stay there with your Lunch break, then get your room for an over night then sightseeing in jhong after your Lunch it is real a nice mountain Village,because of interesting Tibetan influence people and culture. </p>
<p>It is very day walking day that you do not need to walk more than 2 hours, you can see dried landscape, with Tibetan styled of houses people in the villages, Purang village also is nice you will go via this village probably better to visit a nice Gompa there. Then you reach the Muktinath which is the holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist. More trekkers used to come down here from Throng La pass then stay an overnight so that this place is often used to be busy in spring and Autumn. This day you can visit many places The shrine part of Muktinath, Temple, Gompa, taps, Natural Flame, Nunnery Gompa, etc.</p>
<p>You will continue to Lubra along meadow, cross a hill site then walk all the way down hill to the Lubra khola(stream) </p><p></p><p>Then you will reach a small tiny mountain village on the lap of the rocky hill,better to take lunch break there, then visit village and a very old Gompa for few minutes there after move to Jomsom. Your company has to re confirm your flight tickets in jomsom for next day flight.</p>
<p>Your flight will be any time between 7 to 11 am, You will rest in pokhara this day.</p>
