Now a days almost 95% of visitors (trekkers /climbers) for the Mt, Everest regions are entering by the flights from Kathmandu to Lukla 2830,metres height Tenzing Hilary airport, which is known as the world’s most famous airport of the mountain regions where hundreds of flights land per day in high trekking, climbing and expedition season, more than thousands of trekkers and climbers enter per day via this airport. so that here we would like to inform you about this region.
Lukla is a main gate way to enter the Everest region of Nepal and also an adventurous tourists commercial mountain town this region, hundreds of commercial houses hotels, and restaurants, different banks, ATM, and foreign currency exchange counters are in the village. You can change foreign currencies in the hotels also, where you do stay in but you can pay your bills in cash card. It has a police station, Telephone / internet services in all hotels, now a days most of the hotels of the Everest base camp region have credit card payment system also, but better to have enough cash for your daily expenses, because sometimes the cash machines don’t work properly due to technical issues and some places of hotels have no credit machines etc. so better to bring the cash with you minimum 3500,- 4000,Nepali rupees for per day /per person for your lunch dinner breakfast and accommodation but the Guide and porters fee is extra while you take the guides and porters. we mostly operate treks and climbing in package system so this information just for the visitors who are trekking and visiting individual. The Namche bazar is a biggest and beautiful town of this region, where you reach normally in 2 / 3 days from Lukla, it is situated above 3500,metres from the sea level, this village has beautiful mountains views including the Mt,Everest, Mt, Amadablam and many other beautiful mountains surrounding. It has many large hotels, with modern amenities also, but most of the hotels are made in adventurous standard, there are many modern facilities in the town as bank, ATM, Money changers, mountain gears shops, souvenir shops, Bars, pools, schools, Police station, Nepali army camp, Sherpa museums, Monastery school etc.
Most of the hotels of this region have the credit card payment system, internet as following places – Tengboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, Labuche and Gorakshep, Gokyo, Maccherma, Dole ,Thame Manjo and Phakding. any way we heartily advice you to bring enough cash with you, because the systems of the cards sometimes may not work properly.
