There are some trekking regions known as restricted areas and mounatain peaks that highly regulated by the government of Nepal, in these areas/peaks are allowed only upon acquiring permits from the Department of immigration,interested trekkers/climbers should contact the authorized trekking agency,who then can apply for the permits on behalf of trekkers/climbers at the department of immigration fullfilling all the necessary formalities. Trekkers/climbers should be trekking/climbing in the group of minimum two persons accompanied by licensed trekking/climbing guides.
There are different rates of trekking/climbing permits fees applicable for different routes and mountains.

1, Upper Mustang : For the first 10 days per person US $ 500 and after 10 days per day per person US,$ 50.
2, Manaslu Area : This trekking area requires seasonal permit fee as from September to November per week per person, US $ 100 and After 7 days per day per person US $ 15 and From December to August per week per person US $ 75 and After 7 days per week per person Us $ 10 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
3, Tsum Valley : Chhekampar and Chumchet -From September to November per person US $ 40 for first 7 days and $,7 per day after 7 days each person. and December to August $ 30 per person/week and $,7 per person/week.
4, Upper Dolpa : For the first 10 Days per person US $ 500. and After 10 days per day per person US $ 50.
5, Lower Dolpa: Per week per person US $ 20 per week and US, 5 per day/persons after 7 days.
6, Nar and Phu of Manang :
From September to November per week per person US $ 100 and and US,15 per person/day December to August per week per person US $ 75 and 15 per day / person after 7 days.
7, Makalu Region: For the first 4 weeks per week per person US $ 20 and After 4 weeks per week per person US $ 25 .
8, Kanchenjunga : per person US $ 20 for the first 4 weeks and US, 25 per person/week after first 4 weeks.
9, Gauri Shankar: Per week per person US $ 20 Or equivalent convertible foreign Currency .
10, Bajhang – Saipal, Kanda, Dhuli : For the first 7 days per person US $ 90 and After 7 days per day per person US $ 15 Or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
